Terms of Service

Operated by Clavis Sinica Limited (a company registered in New Zealand; Auckland, New Zealand). Contact: support@clavisexam.com. By using ClavisExam (clavisexam.com, “the Service”) you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service is

The Service analyses the study materials or past papers you provide and builds practice papers and answers from a question bank and AI-generated supplementary questions. It is a practice tool. It is not an official exam and does not guarantee that any question will appear in a real exam.

The Service includes exam prep, HSK sprint, teacher papers and tricky-character practice. Teachers using “Teacher papers” should review the questions, answers and marking before use.

2. AI-generated content

Some questions are generated by AI and are marked “AI-generated · pending review”. They may contain mistakes. Please check them, especially the answers, with a teacher or yourself before relying on them.

3. Your materials

What you upload or paste remains yours, and you confirm you have the right to use it. You allow us to process it to provide the Service (including sending it to an AI provider for analysis). How we store and delete it is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Pass and payment

Free: analysis, the exam-structure forecast, and the first few questions of each practice paper. A paid “30-day pass” unlocks all questions and answers and the PDF and web downloads. A “teacher pass” (90 days, higher price, same features, intended for teachers who build papers in bursts) is also available. The pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically; it runs for 30 days from the day of payment. Prices are in US dollars and depend on your billing region. Please choose your real billing region; if a pass was obtained at a lower price by selecting a false region, we may revoke it. Payments are processed by Stripe and we never see your card details. Price region. Prices follow local purchasing power. After payment we check your billing country and the card’s issuing country; if the price for either is higher than what you paid, your pass is activated once the difference is paid (or you may ask for a refund instead). Please choose your real billing region.

Tax (GST). The listed price is the final price; nothing is added at checkout. New Zealand GST has a standard rate of 15%. For buyers in New Zealand the listed price includes GST; buyers outside New Zealand are not charged NZ GST (any local tax on imported digital services is governed by local law). Contact us if you need a receipt or invoice.

5. Fair use

Do not scrape the Service at scale, upload unlawful content or content you have no right to use, or try to break or bypass its limits. Your pass code works like a ticket; keep it safe.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is”; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Service. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will flag significant changes on the website. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
